Welcome to East Bull Lake Wilderness Lodge. We are located in the center of the wilderness region of Northern Ontario. Our main lodge used to be the original MNR ranger outpost station and since 1962, has been our year round home and lodge.

We accept VISA, Mastercard & American Express

We have high speed wireless internet and laundry facilities for your use.

We have 2 Bull Moose tags for 2008. Book now before they are gone!!

Our area has very good Black Bear and Moose hunting. Gerry's guiding & hunting skills will assist you in your hunt for a Black Bear or Moose.

We also have good fishing for Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout & Brook Trout. East Bull Lake is in the Lake Trout stocking program. Lake trout are sometimes difficult to catch and you need to spend time luring them into your boat. You have to try different baiting techniques and depths in the water. Some days you can catch a Lake Trout without much effort. The Aux Sable River is good for catching river Brook Trout and runs within a couple of miles of our lodge. We are inviting guests to take advantage of our good spring fishing.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is continually restocking area lakes with Lake Trout and Brook Trout.

Other activities include CanoeTrips through the local lakes and down the Aux Sable River. Our canoe trips involve some great rapids, fishing and wilderness camping. There are also lots of ATV & snowmobile trails and old logging roads where you can ride for hundreds of miles in complete solitude.

We think the Aux Sable River is one of the most beautiful rivers in Ontario. Our river canoe trips consist of many insertion and extraction points along a 62 mile stretch of the river. The part of river that runs just above our lodge has two beautiful waterfalls and nine sets of rapids that canoeists can run in six to nine hours depending if you like to fish or not. We do provide a pick-up and drop-off service, for a small fee, and will help you plan your trip. We recommend that you bring canoes and accessories for the trip such as life jackets and paddles.

There are a few beautiful campsites along the river if you want to stay in the bush for a few days. Starting in the spring and leading into late June, you will experience some good fishing. Brook trout is the main fish in the river.

You should have some canoeing experience in order to enjoy the Aux Sauble River. This river is not especially favorable to fly fishing it is more a drift fishing in canoes and boats

There are at least ten different lakes within a twenty five minute drive from our lodge. These lakes make for an excellent secluded canoe or fishing outing for the day. Some canoeists camp out for the week. You can catch Lake Trout, Walleye, Brook Trout, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass in these lakes. Tell us what you want to catch and be willing spend some time and effort fishing as fishing is an important part of your trip.

Our cabins are rustic, yet warm, and comfortable. This is a wilderness resort and there is no electricity. It’s like stepping back in time. You can choose between housekeeping or American Plan accommodations. We are located 3 hours north east of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada.

This is not a provincial park or a high-traffic tourist-area. This is a natural wilderness canoe area.

Things to bring to make your stay more enjoyable: Bug jackets and or bed nets. Camping chairs, sleeping bags, flashlights, coolers
